Biography
Mr. Michael Wong is an entrepreneur and visionary. With a passion and optimistic vision for the health, fitness and medical industry, Michael co-founded Capnia Inc., a company that uses top-notch technology in developing innovative diagnostics and devices to address unmet medical needs of newborn babies. The company’s latest product detects and monitors jaundice, a highly prevalent condition in newborns all over the world, in a non-invasive way.
Upon graduating with a degree in economics from one of the top universities in Canada, University of British Columbia, Michael returned to Asia to take over the family business, Tak Mei Toys Holding Co. If you have ever looked into the eyes of a toy doll, you most likely would have seen a product of Tak Mei Toys. The plastic manufacturing company has been in operations since 1969, with their trademark product being toy eyeballs. Michael is currently the CEO and President of Tak Mei Toys Holding Co.
Michael also graduated from the EMBA program at the Richard Ivey School of Business, Western University. He is also the former President of Entrepreneur Organization (China South), and the former Executive Committee member of 2nd Generation Organization (Hong Kong).
Michael is a proud father to 3 beautiful children.
